Hello! I have a question. For example, in the BARF Ancestral Active recipe, Pippi needs 0.800 mg of zinc. Previously, when I gave her a homemade diet, she needed two 13 mg zinc supplements. I'm a little confused about how to divide up such a supplement. I see that there is a different type in the recipe. Can you explain this to me?

• Hello! Puppies need more zinc than adult dogs, so older recipes may have higher doses. The amount of supplements is also affected by the ingredients in the recipe (a recipe with little natural zinc will need more zinc supplements). The zinc used in the recipe is virtually the same, the difference being that this one has slightly higher bioavailability (it is better absorbed by the body), and therefore we also need smaller doses. I realise that it is not so easy to dose 0.8 tbl, the easiest way is to multiply by 7 days = approx. 5.5 tbl in total. It does not have to be exactly the same every day, just the total amount over time is correct 😊
