Help! We’ve run out of lamb’s liver
Lamb’s liver is sold out everywhere; the butcher says it will be available sometime in September. I’m making food for a dog with urinary stones, and the recipe calls for lamb’s liver. As a last resort, whilst we’re waiting for lamb’s liver, can I use pork or beef liver in his recipe? 🙏
- Hi Elisabeth 🙂 It’ll be fine for a couple of weeks. Lamb liver has a rather different nutritional profile compared to pork and beef liver, so the meals won’t be well-balanced enough. But the differences aren’t so great that it’s a problem whilst you’re waiting for it to come back in stock. Just don’t make this a permanent change 😅
- We’re currently waiting for an order from Pala containing dried lamb’s liver (which can also be used) ☘️ {{PRODUCT:100-lamb-liver-dog-treats:Pala Lamb Liver Treats – 100 g}}
- That’s great! I haven’t been able to get hold of any Pala lamb’s liver for weeks either 😅
