Bones as a source of calcium

Hi! I would like recipes that use bones (chicken necks/wings) as a source of calcium, instead of calcium powder 😊 It would also be great if you could give me some tips on what to replace sardines with, as my dog really hates sardines πŸ˜…

  • It's great that you suggest that. I know many people are sceptical about bones/chicken necks/wings, etc. But I completely agree with you, so it's coming 😎 You can try other types of small fish, possibly green-lipped mussels 🐟 Alternatively, replace it with a little Dr. Baddaky Omega 3 (I usually give it when I don't give sardines - and vice versa)
  • My little 6 kg dog loves bones and eats whole chicken necks in no time πŸ˜… But I'm a little afraid to give him them too often, in case it's too much calcium 😊 Can I skip the calcium powder in his food on days when I give him chicken necks/wings? Thanks for the tips! If a recipe contains sardines, can I just leave them out and add a little Dr Baddaky without affecting the balance of the recipe?
  • Dogs have a high tolerance for calcium, so it should be fine! But you can skip the days when you give them bones πŸ– Yes, that's right 🐟 There will be a little less protein and a little more fat, but it makes such a small difference that the recipe will still be balanced ☘️
