Amount of calcium in grams
"I am going to put Varg (Yakutian Laika, young dog) on the Elimination Diet – Sei. I have replaced Avital Calcium with Dibo Calcium Plus, as you recommended. How many grams of this should I use instead?"
- Hello! You can use the same amount of Dibo Calcium Plus as the amount of Avital Calcium stated in the recipe. Avital contains approx. 36% calcium, whilst Dibo contains approx. 38% calcium. This means that Dibo is slightly more concentrated, but the difference is only around 5%. In practice, this amounts to such a small difference in grams that it has no nutritional significance in this context. Example: If the recipe states 3 g of Avital, the mathematically correct Dibo dose would be approx. 2.84 g. That is a difference of just 0.16 g, which is practically nothing in a daily dose. So, for Varg, you can safely use the same amount of Dibo Calcium Plus as the recipe specifies for Avital Calcium 😊
