Tailor-made diet

Hi Ayla, We desperately need help with the diet of our Portuguese podengo, Koda, who is 2 years and 7 months old. He has a very complex health profile and we have struggled to find a diet that works for him. Koda's diagnoses and medication: IBD (lymphocytic/plasmacytic enteritis)Chronic pancreatitis – had an acute episode in the past - Food allergies - On Cytopoint and Prednisolone - Has a history of antibiotic use (most recently on 6 April 2025 in connection with acute pancreatitis) Symptoms we see: Digestive problems: Lots of gulping, burping, excessive gas/bloating and stomach pain. Does not currently have diarrhoea or vomiting (apart from the acute pancreatitis episode). Skin and coat problems: Very thin coat, excessive itching and licking (especially on hind legs where he has bitten himself until sore), red and inflamed skin on chest, stomach and paws, hair loss, dry and dull coat, recurring "hot spots" on left hind foot.Other symptoms: Sour smell from the mouth, stiffness after resting, difficulty lying down (due to stomach discomfort), anxiety/stress ("fragile little boy"), urinary incontinence under stress. Current diet: Koda currently gets the dry food "Nala health senior/weight roll" three times a day along with the supplement Wefiber. We've tried "all" types of dry food, wet food and raw food in the past without success. He has recently been on a sei-based diet since 21 January 2026, but we now suspect that he is reacting to this.
