Adjustment of the urine formula
Hi! I have a 6.5 kg dog who has previously struggled with UTIs, and before I discovered Evighetshunden, I was given a recipe for a urinary diet by another nutritionist. My dog loves meat, offal, eggs and vegetables (especially cooked carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin, but also cooked celeriac, sweet potato, green beans, etc.) and he hates fish and rice, so I CAN’T use your urine recipes (I’ve tried several times, but he refuses to eat it 😅). The dog loves this recipe, but I’m a bit unsure whether it’s completely balanced, and Saga asked me to post here in the forum so that you, Ayla, can help me optimise the recipe ❤️ Here it is: ● 400 g lamb with muscle meat, or minced meat ● 400g pork with muscle meat or minced pork ● 2 eggs, whisked/cooked ● 50g liver ● 125g other offal (lungs, kidneys, heart, etc.) ● 200 g turnip (pureed in a blender or lightly cooked) ● 100 g Brussels sprouts (lightly cooked) ● 1 green banana ● 1 cooked carrot ● 5 g dried oregano or basil ● Blueberries, can be given fresh every day ● Cranberries, can be given fresh every day ● 75 mg zinc/zinc gluconate (from health food shops) ● 5.5 g eggshell powder I also add ⅛ tsp kelp a few times a week, along with ¼ tsp rosehip powder daily, 1 drop of vitamin D daily, and Dr Baddaky fish oil daily. As for zinc, I’d like to use the one you use in your recipes (Biolife zinc 14 mg). I’d also like to add that I’d like him to lose 200–300 grams in weight, as he should weigh around 6.2 kg. He is neutered. He goes…
- PS: I make this raw, but I do cook the vegetables and eggs.
