Liver
There are different types of liver in the various recipes. I don’t have all types of liver available all the time. Is it a good idea to choose the recipe with, for example, beef liver that I do have available? Because I assume the different types of liver have different nutritional values? Can I just substitute another type of liver in the recipes? Saga says NO :)
- It’s fine to switch to liver now and then, as long as you don’t consistently use anything other than what’s in the recipe (as this can throw off the nutritional balance over time). I’ve written more about this here: {{ARTICLE:the-truth-about-balanced-dog-nutrition-and-why-you-can-relax:The truth about balanced dog nutrition (and why you can relax)}}
- That was a really quick reply! Thanks :) A new freezer is on my wish list, so I can start organising things here :)
- One more question. Is the liver served raw? Saga thinks I should cook the liver because it’s not safe to serve it raw.
- It's fine to let rip! 😊
