The Meal Planner

Every recipe page includes a dynamic **Serving Size Calculator** (meal planner). This handy tool is designed to take the guesswork out of meal preparation, helping you prepare exactly the right amount of food for your dog. The calculator does two key things: - **Batch cooking scaling** – automatically adjusts ingredient amounts based on how many days of food you want to prepare - **Meal portion guidance** – tells you exactly how much each meal should weigh

Per-Meal Portions

After you've selected how many days of food to make, choose how many meals per day you want to serve. Common choices include: - **1 meal per day** – popular for adult dogs on time-restricted feeding - **2 meals per day** – the most common choice - **3+ meals per day** – often used for puppies or dogs with specific needs The calculator instantly shows you the exact weight for each meal, making portioning fast and accurate.

Multiple Dogs Support

The calculator supports profiles for **multiple dogs**. If you have more than one dog, you can view the meal plan for each by selecting their name from the dog selector. **Note:** You can only select one dog at a time. To calculate for another dog, simply switch the selection and expand the meal plan panel for that dog.

Data from Your Dog's Profile

All serving calculations are based on the **weight and life stage** you provided in your dog's profile. This includes factors like whether your dog is a puppy, adult, senior, or has special activity levels. If your dog's weight changes or they move to a new life stage, simply update their profile. The serving size calculator will automatically recalculate to keep their nutrition on track.
